Downes reportedly hands in a transfer request

Ipswich Town midfielder Flynn Downes has reportedly handed in a transfer request. The transfer request comes after news broke of Crystal Palace having a second bid rejected for the player.- A bid of around £2 Million.

It is reported that Town owner Marcus Evans has a price of around £8 Million on Flynn Downes so the offer of £2Million remains some way from that figure.

The news of Flynn Downes handing in a transfer request broke this morning via The Atheltic's Matt Woosnam on his twitter account.

However, with the clubs seemingly some way off agreeing on a fee this appears to be something that may well rumble on for a while.
