Ward training with Town

Former Wolves and Ireland defender Stephen Ward will be spending at least a week training with Town- The club announced on its website this morning.

The defender who is now 34, has made 400 first-team appearances in addition to spending seven seasons in the Premier League.

Ward spent last year with Stoke signing last summer on a one year deal.

When will Town learn?

Is a 34-year-old the long term answer or a sticking plaster? In a salary-cap world, Ward will count against the cap as a senior player and will offer very little to no resale value. Is he even any better than Myles Kenlock at this point in his career?
